About Me

Photography has been a deeply authentic pursuit since I took my first class in 1980. Over the years it's been my way of keeping a journal of my life, travels, family, thoughts, all that I love.

Alongside the decades-worth of prints and negatives that I keep in albums and well-organized boxes, I've also been gathering memorabilia. These things keep that spark of the creative flame alive and eternal within me.

Below, I share an open letter to my clients as I embark on new artistic endeavors. I'm not taking wedding commissions at this time to allow space for these pursuits.

My Collected Works are available for print and some for download. The Shop updates periodically so check back often. Thank you for stopping by.

an Open letter from Tammy

To my photography clients...

"I’ve had the immense privilege of photographing your weddings, family portraits, and businesses for over 25 years. And the time has come for me to shift my photographic eyes in new directions. It's been wonderful getting to know you and I appreciate your trust in my vision with each event and project.

Your photographs are a record of your life and mine; they'll travel beyond us through the generations and become priceless over time. Thank you for choosing me when you did, for allowing me to step inside the sacred circle of family events and give you tangible treasures that will outlive our days. Many of you blessed me in ways that were deeply profound. I'll fondly remember the moments I've spent with each of you, always. Thank you for being part of my journey, for making it so lovely and bittersweet.

Enjoy looking through my Collected Works; many of these images were captured at your weddings or around your portrait sessions. (one for thee, one for me) Check in every once in a while to see what I've been up to because the Shop changes seasonally, and I'll always find beautiful light and ideas in the most unassuming places. God bless you."

"We don't make a photograph with just a camera; we bring to the act of photography all the books we have read, the movies we have seen, the music we have heard, the people we have loved."
